Summer Sessions kicked off with live performances from Monogold, The Stationary Set, DJ Mikey Palms and Budos Band. If that somehow wasn’t enough, there was also BBQ, live painting and gallery installations inside the theater.

I’m getting even more excited about this event as it’s coming together. Try to picture the 12 members of Budos Band rocking out on a loading dock for a stage. To their side will be See One, creating artwork live- inspired by the music and the moment.
Bisco Smith is busy right now putting some of the other art pieces together and photographer Sam Horine is getting his selections ready for the gallery display.
With performances from Monogold, The Stationary Set, DJ Mikey Palms and Budos Band I think we’re in for a very fun afternoon. We kick things off at 3pm and rock to about 8:30-9.
The Secret Theatre is less than 2 blocks from the Court Square/45th Ave subway station, where you have the 7, G, E, V and R trains. It’s the first stop in Queens from Manhattan, and just 2 stops from Greenpoint.

This Saturday we kick off a new series called Summer Sessions, which presents live music and talented artists in a LIC venue that is both indoors and outdoors. That means you can go inside to check out a gallery showing from photographers, or art from out boys at 5 Ptz. But you can also step outside for live bands playing on the loading dock, art being created live and food smoking on the grill.
I can’t think of a better way to kick off the summer. We get started at 3pm, see you there!

Friday the 28th with our boys from Impose Mag and Ninjasonik. I’d better see you there! Then at Summer Sessions the next day with Budos Band in LIC. Sounds like a good weekend!

On May 29th we will be kicking off our Summer Sessions series in LIC. Budos Band will be headlining the first event of the series and 5 Pointz will be contributing live art. Stay tuned for more info as it develops.
